Robinson, ki je bil znan po nošenju traku na glavi, je v NBA igral 19 sezon v dresih Portland Trail Blazers, Phoenix Suns, Detroit Pistons, Golden State Warriors in New Jersey Nets.
Leta 1994 je bil član tekme zvezd, dvakrat pa je bil v drugi najboljši obrambni ekipi lige. Na 1380 tekmah je imel povprečje 14,6 točke in 4,6 skoka.
