Mednarodno letališče na portugalskem otoku Madeira po novem nosi ime štirikratnega dobitnika zlate žoge Cristiana Ronalda.
Slavnostne prireditve, na kateri so odkrili bronasti kip nogometaša Real Madrida, so se poleg Ronalda udeležili tudi člani portugalskega političnega vrha na čelu s predsednikom Marcelom Rebelom de Souso in premierom Antoniom Costo.
Otoške oblasti so s preimenovanjem letališča izpolnile obljubo po končanem prvenstvu stare celine, na katerem je portugalska reprezentacna osvojila prvi naslov evropskega prvaka.
Ronalda so že pred tem počastili tudi v rojstnem Funchalu, kjer so odprli njegov muzej in postavili bronast spomenik v naravni velikosti.
Oba kipa v čast enega najboljših igralcev vseh časov pa nista noben umetniški presežek, kar zadeva podobnost z nogometašem. ''Za tako čednega moškega ima Ronaldo ogromno smolo s kiparji,'' je zapisal eden od uporabnikov Twitterja. ''Iskreno sem se naglas nasmejal,'' je dodal drugi, tretji pa pristavil: ''Kaj, hudiča, je to?''
Prav Ronaldov kip, ki bo po novem krasil letališče v Madeiri, je na družabnih omrežjih požel ogromno pozornosti. Izbrali smo nekaj najbolj zanimivih in zabavnih odzivov.
